Well, work slammed me this winter, but I'm back from vacation and refreshed!

This evening I made an indulgent purchase...I bought a Featherweight sewing machine! I saw one that looked in good condition, with a decent case and a buttonholer on ebay for $225 buy-it-now.  I have been wanting one of these for ages--I can take it to Costume College and use it in our trailer when we finish fixing her up. I suppose I'll sell my old singer warhorse backup machine now. It's a decent machine (solid metal) but I won't need it.

Also, a little surprise this morning...After hosting the gals for sewing last night, I checked out YouTube...I found this video, which is notable to me because there's a little (unintended) snippet of Loren in her gorgeous 18th c. getup.  So funny, since she was telling us about the scenario last night! I can't wait to send out the link to the crew!
